No. Started with hackathon roots, now evolved into a curated exhibition pipeline. While AI is the core medium, the focus is on creating finished, exhibition-ready interactive works, not 24-hour prototypes.
Any and all. From AI coding agents (like Claude Code and Codex) to foundation models and custom networks. We care about your aesthetic judgment and the final interactive experience, not how much you typed by hand.
No. You need to be a creator with taste. Whether you code everything from scratch, use no-code tools, or prompt-engineer entire experiences using AI, the evaluation is based on the final interactive work and its aesthetic resonance.
Anyone globally. We welcome students aged 12–18, but there is no strict age gate. Participants under 18 require guardian consent. Teams are allowed and cross-disciplinary collaboration is encouraged.
Any experience where the audience participates—not just views. This could be a web app, physical installation, game, generative tool, or anything in between. AI must be the core engine driving the experience.
A curatorial panel reviews submissions for artistic merit, interaction quality, exhibition readiness, and safety/compliance. AQ types are used as lenses to ensure diversity—not as rankings.
Creators retain full intellectual property rights. By submitting, you grant Latent Hacks a non-exclusive license to exhibit the work. You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI tools complies with their terms and respects existing copyrights.
Venue is currently TBA / in discussion. We are in active conversations but will not announce until a contract is signed. A digital exhibition fallback is part of our planning.
